Dark Spot Kit
There are 3 main types of dark spots (noted below) and not all can be treated topically. However, customers have seen an improvement in certain types by using either both or one of these 2 products. So we thought we'd make it easy and put them in a kit for you!
Rock Soap - just break off a piece and reseal the pouch. Use your soap piece in the shower or by the sink for face and body at least once a day.
Coco-Salt Scrub - use in the shower and let the hot/warm water run over pouch to soften the ingredients and then apply to back of arms, top of hands and face as needed in a circular motion and rinse with warm water. We recommend at least twice a week for face and everyday for body - be aware your skin will feel so soft that it's addictive!
3 Main types of dark spots on the skin:
- Lentigines. These are dark spots (maybe called "sun spots") caused by exposure to UV rays from the sun. 90 percent of people over the age of 60 have them, but many much younger men and women have sun-related dark spots as well. The spots appear scattered in no particular pattern.
- Melasma. This type of dark spots are caused by hormonal fluctuations. Women might see darker splotches appear on their cheeks during times when their hormones are in flux, like during pregnancy or menopause. It's also a side effect of birth control pills and hormone therapy treatments. Melasma can also occur as a result of thyroid dysfunction .
- Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). These are dark spots that occur as a result of trauma to the skin, which can be caused by psoriasis, burns, acne, and certain skin care treatments that are hard on the skin.
